The Soul Cages is the third studio album by British rock musician Sting, released on January 22, 1991. It became the singer's second album to reach the top of the national chart in his homeland. Four singles were released in support of the album: "All This Time", "Mad About You", "Why Should I Cry For You" and "The Soul Cages", the latter won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 1992. ...more

WARHORSE-WARHORSE-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO SWIRL-6360015. A mega rare original of the first album by the iconic British prog band.  Warhorse is a band formed by ex-Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. The band existed from 1970 to 1974 (partial reunions in 1985, 2005). The band's sound was close to the style of the early Deep Purple.  After his forced departure from Deep Purple, Nick Simper started organizing a new band. Initially, he planned to involve well-known musicians Albert Lee and Mick Underwood in the collaboration, but this alliance did not take place. The new band was based on guitarist Jed Pack and drummer Mac Poole, musicians who played with Simper in the accompanying Marsha Hunt line—up. The new band also includes vocalist Ashley Holt and keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The band received the name "Iron Horse", which was soon changed to "Warhorse". Wakeman proved to be an unreliable partner and left the band in April, before the band had even made any recordings. Instead, keyboardist Frank Wilson was recruited into the band, with whom the debut demo "Miss Jane" was made. In 1970, the band signed a contract with Phonograms, a division of Vertigo Records, and began recording their debut album. The Warhorse album was released in November 1970. The song "St. Louis" (a cover of "Easybeats") was released as a single and was most popular with the public. ROXETTE-PEARLS OF PASSION-1986-FIRST PRESS SWEDEN-EMI -1362451. A rare Swedish original of the cult band's debut album. The debut album of the Swedish pop-rock band Roxette. Pearls of Passion was recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm in 1986, and was released only in Scandinavia and Canada. The first edition of the Swedish record has an engraved inscription on the rim: "T'WAS A PLEASURE - CAPTAIN AND KANGAROO". The inscription has a hidden meaning, but Per Gessle does not reveal the secret and wants it to remain a secret. ...more

BEE GEES-HIGH CIVILIZATION-1991-FIRST PRESS UK/EU GERMANY-WARNER-7599-26530-1. A rare original of the cult group. High Civilization is the nineteenth studio album by the British pop group the Bee Gees, released on March 25, 1991 in the United Kingdom, and on May 14, 1991 in the United States-their last album recorded for Warner Bros. Records, after a four-year contract (they will return to WB through a subsidiary company Reprise Records in 2006: having obtained the rights to their previously released material, they will reissue each album through Reprise). Perhaps in response to the firm resistance of American radio to the two previous albums-E. S. P. (1987) and One (1989), which proved well in other countries, the American Warner Bros. gave this advertisement one less share and did not release remixes. They recorded this album, and their next album size is not everything with engineer Femi Gia.  In the US, the album was only available on CD and cassette, but the LP version was released in limited quantities in some countries. While it failed to chart in the US, it reached No. 6 in Switzerland, No. 2 in Germany (achieving platinum certification in both countries), No. 24 in the UK. ...more

QUEEN-A NIGHT AT THE OPERA-1975-THE FIRST UK PRESS-EMI - EMTC103.Matrices A-2/B-3. A rare British original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and it held the top position in the UK charts for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is generally believed that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album, "God Save the Queen", is the British national anthem arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band. The album was ranked number 230 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2003, and number 128 on the 2020 list. ...more
