A rare European original of the iconic soundtrack.The Doors: Original Soundtrack Recording is the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's 1991 film Doors. It contains several studio recordings by the Doors, as well as "Heroin" by the Velvet Underground and "Carmina Burana" by Earl Orff. None of Val Kilmer's renditions of the Doors songs featured in the film are included in the soundtrack. The album cover features Jim Morrison performed by Val Kilmer. This is a photo of Kilmer looking directly into the camera lens. His face is black and white, and his hair is the color of a burning flame, the same effect is created on movie posters and promotional materials. ...more

On October 10, 1970, the album rose to the top of the UK Albums Chart, displacing Simon and Garfunkle's Bridge Over Troubled Water from the first place; in the United States, it reached number 12. ...more

BENNY GOODMAN QUARTET MADE IN JAPAN -1965-THE FIRST UK-CAPITOL-T2282 PRESS. A rare British original of the iconic album.  In 1962, he toured widely in the USSR, gave concerts with his jazz band in Moscow (twice), Leningrad, Kiev, Tbilisi, Tashkent. In an interview, he told reporters that he was glad that the ban on jazz in the USSR had been lifted. The first performance took place on May 30 and, as a result of this trip, the Benny Goodman concert album was released in Moscow. In 1963, the RCA Victor studio hosted a reunion of the legendary Benny Goodman quartet of the 1930s (Goodman himself, Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson and Lionel Hampton), and a year later the album recorded by them (called "Together Again!") again became one of the most popular albums and gave impetus to new ones on tour to Asia.  The album Made in japan was the result of these tours.  Recordings of some works of academic music (in particular, sonatas for clarinet and piano by Francis Poulenc together with Leonard Bernstein, as well as music by Bernstein himself, Johannes Brahms, Aaron Copland and Claude Debussy) belong to the same period of creativity. ...more

WARHORSE-WARHORSE-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO SWIRL-6360015. A mega rare original of the first album by the iconic British prog band.  Warhorse is a band formed by ex-Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. The band existed from 1970 to 1974 (partial reunions in 1985, 2005). The band's sound was close to the style of the early Deep Purple.  After his forced departure from Deep Purple, Nick Simper started organizing a new band. Initially, he planned to involve well-known musicians Albert Lee and Mick Underwood in the collaboration, but this alliance did not take place. The new band was based on guitarist Jed Pack and drummer Mac Poole, musicians who played with Simper in the accompanying Marsha Hunt line—up. The new band also includes vocalist Ashley Holt and keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The band received the name "Iron Horse", which was soon changed to "Warhorse". Wakeman proved to be an unreliable partner and left the band in April, before the band had even made any recordings. Instead, keyboardist Frank Wilson was recruited into the band, with whom the debut demo "Miss Jane" was made. In 1970, the band signed a contract with Phonograms, a division of Vertigo Records, and began recording their debut album. The Warhorse album was released in November 1970. The song "St. Louis" (a cover of "Easybeats") was released as a single and was most popular with the public.
