QUEEN-A NIGHT AT THE OPERA-1975-THE FIRST UK PRESS-EMI - EMTC103.Matrices A-3/B-3. A rare British original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and it held the top position in the UK charts for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is generally believed that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album, "God Save the Queen", is the British national anthem arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band. ABBA-MORE ABBA GOLD (2LP'S) -1993-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-GERMANY-POLYDOR-519353-1. A very rare original double compilation of the cult band with unrealized tracks, among others.  The ABBA Gold album featured 19 of the most notable hits on an international scale, but some equally well-known songs like "Summer Night City" and "Angeleyes" remained "overboard". He also did not include a number of other songs by the band (recordings from the early 1980s: "Head over Heels" and "The Day Before You Came"; b-sides of famous singles and just tracks from albums, as well as "I Am the City", recorded in 1982, but never released). Daughter of Time is the fourth album by the English jazz-rock band Colosseum, released in 1970. The album remained on the UK Albums Chart for five weeks, peaking at number 23. Recorded in the midst of the band's turmoil, only one of the eight tracks, "Three Score and Ten, Amen", features all six official band members. ...more

The Soul Cages is the third studio album by British rock musician Sting, released on January 22, 1991. It became the singer's second album to reach the top of the national chart in his homeland. Four singles were released in support of the album: "All This Time", "Mad About You", "Why Should I Cry For You" and "The Soul Cages", the latter won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 1992. ...more
