A rare original of the iconic jazzman. City of Eyes is an album by American jazz guitarist Ralph Towner recorded in 1988 and released on ECM the following April. The quintet consists of trumpeter Marcus Stockhausen, oboist Paul McCandless and rhythm section Gary Peacock and Jerry Granelli. Tom Jurek's review on AllMusic awarded the album 4 stars, stating: "City of Eyes once again shows Ralph Towner as a musical researcher, composer and instrumentalist who can convincingly create sonic journeys through time, space and terrain." ...more

ROXETTE-PEARLS OF PASSION-1986-FIRST PRESS SWEDEN-EMI -1362451. A rare Swedish original of the cult band's debut album. The debut album of the Swedish pop-rock band Roxette. Pearls of Passion was recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm in 1986, and was released only in Scandinavia and Canada. The first edition of the Swedish record has an engraved inscription on the rim: "T'WAS A PLEASURE - CAPTAIN AND KANGAROO". The inscription has a hidden meaning, but Per Gessle does not reveal the secret and wants it to remain a secret. ...more

QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE -HAPPY TRAILS-1969-THE FIRST USA-CAPITOL-ST-120 PRESS. A rare American original of the iconic album. Happy Trails is the second album by the American band Quicksilver Messenger Service. Most of the album was recorded from two performances at Fillmore East and Fillmore West, although it is unclear which parts were recorded at which Fillmore. The record was released by Capitol Records in 1969 in stereo format.  The album was an unexpected commercial success, peaking at number 27 on Billboard and eventually received a gold certification (over 500,000 copies sold in the United States) in 1992 by the Recording Industry Association of America. It was voted at number 553 in Colin Larkin's album "1000 Best Albums of All Time" 3rd edition (2000). In 2003, the album was ranked 189th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, retaining the ranking in the revised 2012 list. He was ranked 44th in Rolling Stone's "50 Coolest Records." Quicksilver's "Mona" was ranked 88th on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time.   ...more

QUEEN-INNUENDO-1991-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-PARLOPHONE-058-7958871. A very rare German original of the cult album. Innuendo is the fourteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen. It was released on February 4, 1991. The last album "Queen", recorded and released during the lifetime of Freddie Mercury. The name Innuendo contains an "indirect hint" that the band in such a composition will not last very long. The last songs were very difficult for Freddie, who was already seriously ill. Nevertheless, the album was finished and well received by the public. Several music videos were shot in support of him, one of which, "These Are The Days of Our Lives", became the last video featuring Mercury.Despite mixed reviews from critics, Queen's new album reached the top spot in the album charts of the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and her native UK, becoming double platinum. ...more

A rare original by one of the iconic saxophonists of the second wave of the 60s. Forest Flower: Charles Lloyd at Monterey is a live album by jazz saxophonist Charles Lloyd, recorded at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1966 by the Charles Lloyd Quartet featuring Keith Jarrett, Cecil McBee and Jack DeJohnette. The album became a crossover hit, became popular on FM rock radio and became one of the first jazz albums to sell over a million copies. ...more
