It was his first album after the breakup of his band the Bluesbreakers in May 1968,[3] although others claim it was July 14, 1968. It was also his last album with Decca before moving to Polydor.John Mayall sings and plays harmonica, organ and guitar on the album. The other band members are a young Mick Taylor (guitar), Colin Allen (drums) and Steven Thompson (bass). Guitarist Peter Green is featured in the track "First Time Alone". The engineer was Derek Varnals. All the songs on the album were written by Mayall.The album's title comes from Laurel Canyon, California, USA (in the Los Angeles area), where John Mayall subsequently lived from 1969 to 1979. This is an account of his visit there before moving to the United States on a more permanent basis. At that time, this area was loved by many musicians. A very early reissue of the album with a re-recorded sound. Electric Ladyland is the third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1968.Recording the album was accompanied by constant difficulties. After a troubled tour of Scandinavia and England, Hendricks decided to move to the US. Disillusioned with the creative limitations of record companies, he set up his own Studio in new York city, where he could implement all his musical ideas. The construction of the Studio was accompanied by problems, and its construction was finally completed only in the mid-70s.As a result, Jimi recorded the bulk of the material at the Record Plant studios. Due to difficulties in his relationship with the band's bassist, Noel reading, Jimi played most of the bass guitar parts himself, including the bass solo on "1983". East of Eden were a British progressive rock band who had a Top 10 hit in the UK with the single "Jig-a-Jig" in 1970. The track was stylistically different from any of their other work. Although some may consider them a symphonic progressive band, others claim that their style is mainly jazz-oriented.In 1968 they moved to London and signed a recording contract with Deram Records.
