The album was released in the USA on June 7, 1976 by Capitol Records (catalog number SKBO 11537), in the UK on June 10, 1976 by Parlophone (catalog number PCSP 719); at that time, some media suggested that the album was released on the twentieth anniversary of the first meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. If this was indeed the intention, then EMI made a mistake in their calculations, since in reality these two first met in July 1957. The album's title, Rock ’n’ Roll Music, is most likely taken from a Chuck Berry song, a version of which performed by The Beatles was included on the second side of the album. The album mainly consists of cover versions of songs written by such prominent rock and roll authors and performers of the 1950s as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins and Larry Williams, as well as notable original songs by the Lennon-McCartney duo, such as "Drive My Car", "Revolution", "Back in the U.S.S.R." and "Get Back". A very early reissue of the album with a re-recorded sound. Electric Ladyland is the third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1968.Recording the album was accompanied by constant difficulties. After a troubled tour of Scandinavia and England, Hendricks decided to move to the US. Disillusioned with the creative limitations of record companies, he set up his own Studio in new York city, where he could implement all his musical ideas. The construction of the Studio was accompanied by problems, and its construction was finally completed only in the mid-70s.As a result, Jimi recorded the bulk of the material at the Record Plant studios.
