DEEP PURPLE-BOOK OF TALIESYN (STEREO)-1968-THE FIRST UK-HARVEST PRESS -SHVL751 Matrix A-1G/B-1G , stamper 1R/1O (Dream!) Mega rare British original of the first press (4-line sold in uk....) The Book of Taliesyn is the second studio album by British band Deep Purple. It was released in the USA in October 1968 on the Tetragrammaton Records label, and in the UK in June 1969 on the EMI label. The musical style of The Book of Taliesyn is a mix of progressive rock, psychedelic rock and hard rock[1][16][17][18][19]. Many reviewers believe that on this album the band demonstrated greater maturity and complexity of musical compositions than on the previous one. The album received a good rating in the USA, but like the previous one, it went completely unnoticed in the homeland of the musicians, in the UK. Five tracks out of seven were placed on the Billboard Hot100 in the middle of the hundred.
