The album was released in the USA on June 7, 1976 by Capitol Records (catalog number SKBO 11537), in the UK on June 10, 1976 by Parlophone (catalog number PCSP 719); at that time, some media suggested that the album was released on the twentieth anniversary of the first meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. If this was indeed the intention, then EMI made a mistake in their calculations, since in reality these two first met in July 1957. The album's title, Rock ’n’ Roll Music, is most likely taken from a Chuck Berry song, a version of which performed by The Beatles was included on the second side of the album. The album mainly consists of cover versions of songs written by such prominent rock and roll authors and performers of the 1950s as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins and Larry Williams, as well as notable original songs by the Lennon-McCartney duo, such as "Drive My Car", "Revolution", "Back in the U.S.S.R." and "Get Back". The cult album Dressed to Kill is the third studio album by the American hard rock band Kiss, released on March 19, 1975. It was produced by Casablanca Records president Bill Bogart and the band itself, as the label's financial situation at the time did not allow hiring a professional producer. Dressed to Kill peaked at number 32 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart in the United States and was certified gold by the RIAA on February 28, 1977. "Come On, Love Me" and "Rock and Roll All Nite" were released as singles, but failed to climb the charts.
