Two markedly different versions of the album were released: one by RCA Records in Europe, and the other by Capitol Records in the United States, Canada, and Japan.The RCA version contains the single "Turn It Down" and the original recording of "Fox on the Run"." The Capitol version, released in the United States in July 1975, includes the 1973 hit single "The Ballroom Blitz "and the single version"Fox on the Run"." In the United States, the album peaked at number 25 on October 25, 1975.Desolation Boulevard is considered by many to be the band's best album. Is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel, released on June 2, 1978 by Charisma Records. Gabriel began recording the album in November 1977, the same month he completed a tour in support of his debut solo release. He hired former King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp, who was part of Gabriel's early touring band, to produce the album and incorporated its Frippertronic effects into his co-written composition "Exposure". The album was released in the USA under the name Peter Gabriel II. Later, he became informally known as Scratch, referring to the design of the Hipgnosis album. BRING ON THE NIGHT is Sting's first live album, recorded during several concerts in 1985 and released in 1986. The title is taken from a song by the Police from their 1979 album Reggatta de Blanc. The songs performed include Sting's early solo material from the studio album The Dream of the Blue Turtles and from his time with The Police, with some performances performed as a medley of the two. The touring band features prominent jazz musicians Branford Marsalis on tenor and soprano saxophones, Darryl Jones on bass guitar, Kenny Kirkland on keyboards and synthesizer, and Omar Hakim on drums. Backing vocalists Janice Pendarvis and Dolette McDonald also perform. Despite the lack of hit singles, the album reached number 16 on the UK album Charts and earned Sting a Grammy Award in 1988 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. ...more
