Was released in August 1989. In August 1989, Gorky Park released their self-titled debut album. Music videos for the songs "My Generation" and "Bang"were shot in New York in support of him. The single "Bang" hit the "top 15" on American MTV and lasted there for two months, reaching number 3. The single "Try to Find Me" reached number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Gorky Park the first Russian band to enter the US national chart. It was originally released in Scandinavia on November 17, 1975 and in other parts of the world in 1976, notably in the UK on April 10 and September 18 in the USA and Canada. The release of Greatest Hits coincided with the beginning of ABBA's huge popularity in the UK in the second half of the 1970s, becoming the first of eight consecutive number one albums for the band. It spent eleven consecutive weeks at the top of the UK Albums Chart and became the best-selling album of 1976 and the second best-selling album of the 1970s. As of July 2016, it is the 46th best-selling album of all time in the UK, with sales of over 2.6 million Greatest Hits was released in the USA and Canada in September 1976, but record sales peaked only in April 1977, when the song "Dancing Queen" took first place in both countries. "Dancing Queen" was not included in the Greatest Hits, but it was the lead single from the new studio album Arrival, and it aroused interest in the ABBA back catalog. A very rare British original of the iconic album. Peace For Our Time is the second album by the English progressive jazz-rock band Warm Dust, released in 1971 on an obscure label Trend in the UK. In 1971, the album was also released in the USA (UNI Records 73109), Italy (Stateside, EMI Italiana S.p.A 3C 062-92228) - everywhere in the same envelope with a spread, and in Italy also on white vinyl (probably because in April 1971 Warm Dust was awarded a reception by the Pope at the Vatican). This is a concept album, the idea of which is expressed in the title itself, as the cover suggests to us. Under the title Peace For Our Time (Peace for Our Time) attributed to: Neville Chamberlain, September 30, 1938. The story is as follows. On September 30, 1938, British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain returned to London after signing the ill-fated Munich Agreement, according to which Germany ate a good piece of Czechoslovakia in the form of the Sudetenland. Chamberlain stood with this document outside the Foreign Office in Downing Street and spoke complacently: "Dear friends, for the second time in our history, an honorable peace returns from Germany to Downing Street. I believe this is the world for our time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and I recommend that you go home and sleep peacefully in your beds." And the next day, Hitler's troops occupied Czechoslovakia, and a year later the Second World War began. Since then, this phrase has been ironic or sarcastic, if you will. ...more
