SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE- GREATEST HITS -1970-ORIGINAL PRESS 1972 UK-EPIC-SEPC69002. Matrices A-1/B-1. A rare early edition of the grandees of funk music. This is a compilation album by the American band Sly and the Family Stone. It was first released on November 21, 1970 by Epic Records. The album includes all the singles from the albums Dance to the Music (1968), Life (1968) and Stand! (1969). Three tracks released as singles in 1969 first appear on the album here: "Hot Fun in the Summertime", "Everybody Is a Star" and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)". The recordings in this compilation do not always match the versions of the singles; some songs are presented here in their album version and mixes. Mixes sometimes have different editing and vocal and/or instrumentation changes. Greatest Hits was certified five times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling five million copies in the United States. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album 60th on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, 61st on its revised 2012 list, and 343rd in its 2020 ranking. ...more

ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album.  Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. A rare European original of the iconic album. Crazy World is the eleventh studio album by the German rock band Scorpions, released on November 6, 1990. Many critics rate this CD as one of the best in the band's work. A rare British original.  Stranded is the third studio album by the British rock band Roxy Music, released by Island Records in 1973. The CD was recorded at London's Air Studios. Stranded, an album featuring collaborators Bryan Ferry, Andy McKay and Phil Manzanera for the first time, rose to the top of the UK Albums Chart. The track "Street Life", released as a single, rose to #9 in the UK. Bryan Ferry listed the band's third album as one of his favorite creations. Brian Eno, in a 1977 interview, also called Stranded the best work of Roxy Music ...more

The most popular track on AOR radio in the US was "Other Arms", which reached the first position in the Top Tracks chart of Billboard magazine.
