Released on Epic Records on August 31, 1987, the album was produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones-Bad was their third and final collaboration. The songs on the album are composed in the genres of funk, rhythm and Blues, gospel, pop rock, hard rock, swing and Blues. Jackson wrote nine of the eleven songs on the final track list. In September 1987, Bad debuted at the top of the us Billboard 200 chart and the UK albums Chart, and the album topped the charts in 25 countries. Between 1987 and 1989 . Worldwide sales of the record according to various sources range from 30 to 45 million copies. Bad received two Grammy awards in 1988 and 1990.

Holy Diver is the debut studio album by Dio, released in 1983. After leaving Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio put together a new band, which included drummer Vinnie Appisi, bassist Jimmy Bain and guitarist Vivian Campbell. Holy Diver's debut album was recorded in the style of Black Sabbath's latest works, which attracted many fans of this band to Ronnie's new band.
