MOORE GARY-AFTER HOUR-1992-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-VIRGIN-212558. A rare original legend in rock music. After Hours is a studio album by Irish guitarist and singer Gary Moore, released on March 10, 1992. After a busy tour in 1990, Moore recorded the album "After Hours", which, like its predecessor, was sustained in the style of blues-rock, but with a great soul influence and with the addition of a brass section that played in the style of soul. Despite the fact that the album turned out to be very similar to "Still Got The Blues", its success was more modest. After Hours includes both Moore's original songs and well-known blues standards. The Memphis band The Memphis Horns took part in the recording, as well as guest musicians: BB King ("Since I Met You Baby") and Albert Collins ("The Blues Is Alright"). The album reached the 1st place in the charts of Switzerland and Sweden, as well as the 2nd place in Germany and Norway. In general, he received favorable reviews. Allmusic reviewer David Genzen called After Hours "as impressive" as Still Got the Blues. ...more

It was released on March 21, 1977 on Barn Records, but failed to chart nationally. The glam rock movement that Slade was associated with died, and the careers of other glam rock artists such as Mud, Gary Glitter and Sweet went downhill. In Britain, where Slade was traditionally the most popular, punk rock was in fashion. With this album, Slade established themselves as a straight-talking rock band; their "glam" statements from the beginning of the decade are a thing of the past. The album received critical acclaim and support from the English punk movement. In a 1979 Slade fan poll, the album was ranked among the top three Slade albums. ...more
