It was recorded primarily at Caribou Ranch Studios in Colorado with overdubs, vocals and mixing completed at the Los Angeles recording plant. This was the first Supertramp album featuring engineer Peter Henderson, who would work with the band on the next three albums as well. The album... reached number 16 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart in 1977 and a few months later became the first gold (500,000 copies or more) Supertramp album sold in the United States.
