MARIAH CAREY- MUSIC BOX- 1993-FIRST PRESS UK/EU- HOLLAND-COLUMBIA-474270-1 Rare European Original  pop divas. Music Box is the third studio album by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey. It was released by Columbia Records on August 31, 1993. The album consists of ballads written mainly by Carey and Walter Afanasieff, with whom she previously worked on Emotions (1991), as well as several dance tracks. While working on the album, Carey wanted to expand her audience by choosing a more pop-oriented/RB-oriented sound. During this time, she experimented with various musical instruments, which led to the fact that the sound of the album began to differ from the two previous, more modern works.  Upon its release, Music Box received generally mixed reviews from music critics. The album was criticized for Carey's softer and more laid-back tone compared to her previous works. Commercially, the album reached number one in 15 countries, including Australia, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded it diamond status for sales of ten million copies in the United States. A very rare Japanese original of a cult album. Firefly is the 10th studio album by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released in February 1977 on Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros. Records in the USA. It was the band's first album without David Byron, the former lead vocalist and also one of the band's founding members, replaced by John Lawton. Bassist Trevor Boulder made his debut with Uriah Heep on this album and, apart from an 18-month hiatus in the early 1980s, he was a member of this band until his death in 2013. JAN GARBAREK GROUP-IT'S OK TO LISTEN TO THE GRAY VOICE -1985-FIRST PRESS GERMANY- ECM-ECM1294. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. An album by Jan Garbarek's band, recorded in December 1984 and released on ECM in September of the following year. The quartet consists of David Thorne, Eberhard Weber and Michael Di Pasqua. AllMusic gave the album four stars, and critic Mark W. B. Allender wrote: Here Garbarek approaches the extremes of his style, performing with his band again. All the compositions on this album are named after quotes from Thomas Transtroemer's poems, and although the connection with these poems remains weak at best, they add a provocative element to the compositions themselves, which require at least some kind of programmatic interpretation. Multi-instrumentalist David Thorne is primarily responsible for the more aggressive nature of this record. His guitar parts explode with energy and tension, giving Garbarek a wider playing field, and given his penchant for excessive restraint, these are the pleasant moments that adorn the album. ...more
