BOWIE, DAVID-STAGE (2 LP'S)-1978-FIRST PRESS UK-RCA- PL02913(2) A rare double concert by a British legend. Stage is the second live album by English musician David Bowie, recorded during the Isolar II Tour and released on RCA Records in 1978. The recording was made at concerts in Philadelphia, Providence, and Boston, USA, in late April and early May 1978. It mainly included material from Bowie's last studio albums at that time, "Station to Station", "Low" and "Heroes" (both 1977), but also contained five songs from "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" (1972). In addition to Bowie's main band, consisting of Carlos Alomar, Dennis Davis and George Murray, the band included former Frank Zappa member Adrian Belew on guitar, Simon House from Hawkwind on electric violin, Roger Powell, best known for working with Todd Rundgren in the band Utopia, on keyboards and Sean Mays on piano, string ensemble and backing vocals. They all reunited the following year on Bowie's next studio album Lodger (1979). Stage was a commercial success. In the UK, she took 5th place in the charts and subsequently received a gold certificate from the British Phonogram Producers Association (BPI). It also reached number 44 on the US charts. ...more

A rare Scandinavian original of the second album of the famous disco band. Bamalama is the second album by the French disco project Belle Epoque, released in 1978 by the French company Carrere. The album Bamalama was recorded in October-November 1977 at New York's Sonyland Studios, and mixed in London. Bamalama appeared on sale in akurat for Christmas, a favorite marketing technique, because during this period people are overwhelmed by the irresistible itch of shopping. The Bamalama album contains almost all the material of their own composition - Evelyn Lenton and her brother Albert Weyman, with the exception of short quotes from rock and roll classics in a Bamalama medley. The album and the single Bamalama were a great success in Europe and Asia. In the States, the band was still not promoted at the record level. A rare Japanese original of a cult album.  Tug of War is the third solo studio album by English musician Paul McCartney, released on April 26, 1982. This is his 11th album since the breakup of The Beatles in 1970, his first album released since the breakup of his band Wings last year, and his first album since the assassination of his former collaborator John Lennon.  Rolling Stone music critic Stephen Holden called Tug of War "a masterpiece that everyone always knew Paul McCartney could create," and particularly admired his vibrant music and consistent songwriting. The album restored McCartney's reputation in the eyes of critics after what was considered a difficult period for him. WINGS-VENUS AND MARS-1975-THE FIRST JAPAN-CAPITOL-EPS-80236 PRESS. A rare Japanese original of a cult album.  Venus and Mars is the fourth studio album by Wings, released in 1975. The CD was released after the extraordinary success of Band on the Run and also became very popular. Paul McCartney's first album with Capitol Records. After the release of Band on the Run, Jimmy McCulloch (lead guitarist) and Jeff Britton (drummer) also joined the Wings in 1974. After McCartney wrote several new songs for the upcoming album, the band flew to New Orleans in January 1975, where they were scheduled to record Venus and Mars.Britton, having quarreled with McCulloch, left the band, having managed to participate in the recording of only three songs of the album. He was urgently replaced by American Joe English, with whom the recording was continued. McCartney made the songs in Venus and Mars blend seamlessly into each other, and the album in this sense became similar to The Beatles' Abbey Road album. The album was received very warmly, and it hits the Top 10 charts in all countries of the continent.
