SEEKERS - A WORLD OF OUR OWN-1965-THE FIRST UK PRESS-COLUMBIA-33SX1722.  The rare British original "A World of Our Own" is a 1965 single written by Tom Springfield that became an international hit by the Australian pop group The Seekers. The single reached number 19 on the US Hot 100 chart and number 2 on the Easy Listening chart. It reached number 3 in the UK and number 2 in Australia. Three years later, the song "A World of Our Own" was recorded by Sonny James. A rare Japanese original of the cult album. A New World Record is the sixth studio album by the British band Electric Light Orchestra, released in September 1976. The album was remastered and re-released in 2006 with the addition of six bonus tracks. A New World Record became the band's first album to reach the top ten in the UK (the previous three albums had great success in the USA, but not in the homeland of the musicians). The album was certified platinum in both the UK and the USA, and sold five million copies in the first year after its release. JAN GARBAREK GROUP-IT'S OK TO LISTEN TO THE GRAY VOICE -1985-FIRST PRESS GERMANY- ECM-ECM1294. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. An album by Jan Garbarek's band, recorded in December 1984 and released on ECM in September of the following year. The quartet consists of David Thorne, Eberhard Weber and Michael Di Pasqua. AllMusic gave the album four stars, and critic Mark W. B. Allender wrote: Here Garbarek approaches the extremes of his style, performing with his band again. All the compositions on this album are named after quotes from Thomas Transtroemer's poems, and although the connection with these poems remains weak at best, they add a provocative element to the compositions themselves, which require at least some kind of programmatic interpretation. Multi-instrumentalist David Thorne is primarily responsible for the more aggressive nature of this record. His guitar parts explode with energy and tension, giving Garbarek a wider playing field, and given his penchant for excessive restraint, these are the pleasant moments that adorn the album. ...more

ROLLING STONES-VOODOO LOUNGE-1994-FIRST PRESS UK-VIRGIN- V2750 Voodoo Lounge is the twentieth studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released on July 11, 1994. This album was the band's first release as part of their new collaboration with Virgin Records and their first studio album in five years, since the release of Steel Wheels in 1989. Voodoo Lounge is also the band's first album without original bassist Bill Wyman, who left the band in early 1991, although The Rolling Stones announced his departure only two years later, in 1993.  Voodoo Lounge sold well, reaching gold or platinum status in several countries, but failed to chart in the US top 40. The songs "Love Is Strong" and "You Got Me Rocking" reached #14 and #23 in the UK, respectively, and "You Got Me Rocking" became a major hit on most of the Stones' subsequent tours. The album received several positive reviews and in 1995 won the first Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.  ...more
