LED ZEPPELIN - LED ZEPPELIN II-1969-MISPRINT "LEMON SONG" SECOND PRESS UK-ATLANTIC-588198. A very rare British original of the second version of the iconic A-2/B-2 matrix album Led Zeppelin II is the second studio album by the British rock band Led Zeppelin, released on October 22, 1969 on Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in several studios located in the UK and North America from January to August 1969. The album was produced by Jimmy Page, who had already directed in this role on the band's debut CD. The musicians collaborated with sound engineer Eddie Kramer, who made a great contribution to the unique sound of the longplay. Led Zeppelin II demonstrates the evolution of the band's musical style — the guitar sound based on riffs takes center stage. Many critics consider this album to be the most "heavy" in Led Zeppelin's discography. Led Zeppelin II had good sales and became the band's first album to reach the top of the UK and US charts. In 1970, the album's art director, David Juniper, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Album Design category. By November 15, 1999, the album had sold over 12 million copies. Since its release, writers and music critics have regularly ranked Led Zeppelin II among the greatest and most influential rock albums of all time.

THE BAND - LAST WALTZ (3LP'S) -1978-FIRST UK PRESS- WARNER-K66076 Rare British original of the iconic concert. "The Last Waltz" is a concert by the Canadian-American rock band The Band, held on American Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The Last Waltz was advertised as the band's "farewell concert",[2] and the band was joined at the concert by over a dozen special guests, including their previous employers Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan, as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, The Staple Singers, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood and Neil Young. The musical director of the concert was the original producer of the band John Simon. The concert was produced and hosted by Bill Graham and directed by Martin Scorsese, who turned it into a documentary film of the same name, released in 1978. "The Last Waltz" is one of the best, if not the best, rock films ever made, which reveals and energizes a classical band at the peak of its popularity." Chicago Tribune film critic Michael Wilmington calls it "the greatest rock concert film ever made, and arguably the best rock film in history."Terry Lawson of the Detroit Free Press comments, "This is one of the greatest films."  Total Film considers it "the greatest concert film ever made." Janet Maslin of the New York Times gave it a negative assessment, saying that it "says so little about the end-of-an-era feeling it hints at... that it is impossible to perceive "The Last Waltz" otherwise than as a passing movie." However, in 2003, The New York Times included the film in its list of the "1000 Best Films of All Time," and Rolling Stone called it "The Greatest Concert Film of All Time." ...more

STEVE VAI- PASSION AND WARFARE - 1990- FIRST PRESS UK-FFT- GRUB17. A rare British original. Passion and Warfare is the second studio album by guitarist Steve Vai, released on May 22, 1990 on Relativity and Epic Records. He received a gold certificate from the RIAA. Passion and Warfare was written based on a series of episodes of dreams that Vai had when he was younger, and in the album's guitar notes book Vai summarizes it this way: "Jimi Hendrix meets Jesus Christ at a party that Ben Hur arranged for Mel Blanc." It was all recorded at Mothership Studios in his Hollywood Hills home, a 1,600-square-foot (150 m2) building that also recorded his guitar parts for Whitesnake's 1989 album Slip of the Tongue. Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale has small spoken parts on the album; Coverdale, Adrian Vandenberg and Rudy Sarzo are credited with backing vocals. Vai claims that planning for the album began back in 1982, but was postponed after joining David Lee Roth's band and was not resumed until the breakup with Roth in 1989. ...more
