"Over the Hudson" is the third studio album by Soviet, American and Russian author-performer Willy Tokarev, released in 1983 on the Sava Recording Corporation label in the USA. The producer is Willy Tokarev. At the age of 40, in 1974, Willy Tokarev emigrated to the United States with $100 in his pocket. He was sheltered for 2-3 weeks by the Tolstoy Foundation, whose head was Alexandra Tolstaya, daughter of Leo Tolstoy. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). He played at Carnegie Hall on a balalaika, which he bought at a souvenir shop on Fifth Avenue for $ 50, then played and sang in restaurants and nightclubs.  In 1979, the first record "And life is always beautiful!" was released, which was not particularly noticed. A mega rare original of a cult album .The Captain and the Kid is the twenty—eighth studio album by English musician Elton John, released in 2006. This is his second autobiographical album with songwriter Bernie Taupin, continuing the theme of Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy (1975). The Captain and the Kid tells about the events in their lives over the past three decades. The Captain and the Kid reached number 6 on the UK Albums Chart, which was a significant improvement over John's previous album Peachtree Road in 2004, which reached number 21. Captain reached number 18 on the US Billboard 200, but quickly dropped off the charts. At concerts in early 2007, John made it clear that he was unhappy with the promotion of the album by Interscope Records, and threatened to terminate the contract with the label. As with the previous album, In Trance, the cover was censored in some countries the album was released with an alternative version of the cover. The artwork was Steffan Böhle, Manager of RCA Records. He depicted a naked minor girl on black background; broken glass effect covering her genitals. In Japan, the album reached the 32nd line in the hit parade. A very rare Japanese original of a cult album. Firefly is the 10th studio album by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released in February 1977 on Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros. Records in the USA. It was the band's first album without David Byron, the former lead vocalist and also one of the band's founding members, replaced by John Lawton. Bassist Trevor Boulder made his debut with Uriah Heep on this album and, apart from an 18-month hiatus in the early 1980s, he was a member of this band until his death in 2013. The album was successful and placed in the top 20 charts in Europe. It ranks 166th in the Billboard 200 rock Albums of All Time. ...more
