HAWKWIND-LEVITATION-1980-THE FIRST UK-BRONZE-BRON530 PRESS. A-3U/B-1U matrices. A rare British original by a cult prog band. Levitation is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Hawkwind, released in 1980. It reached number 21 on the UK Albums Chart. During the album's release, bandleader Dave Brock stated, "With Levitation, we returned to the style of our debut album. And it was a record that fully expressed our ideals and what we fought for."  This is their first studio album since the departure of lead vocalist and lyricist Robert Calvert, and the lyrics here are usually superficial, and the number of instrumental parts is increased. It is also Hawkwind's only studio album to feature former Cream drummer Ginger Baker, and the first for former Gong keyboardist Tim Blake, who later rejoined the band and played on the 2010 album Blood of the Earth. ...more

NAZARETH-PLAY 'N' THE GAME-1976-THE FIRST UK-MOUNTAIN-TOPS113 PRESS.A rare British original. Play ’n’ the Game is the eighth studio album by the Scottish band Nazareth, released in 1976.The CD cover states: "This album is entirely dedicated to Bill Fehilly, whose faith and spirit are still with us." Bill Fehilly is the band's manager, who died shortly before in a plane crash. The musicians admitted that without his help, Nazareth would never have crossed the borders of England — let alone other countries. Play ’n’ the Game, like the previous album, went unnoticed in the UK, while the band was very popular in Canada, where Nazareth received about 50 gold and platinum records throughout the 1970s. MINGUS, CHARLES-RIGHT NOW-1966-FRANCE-AMERICA FIRST PRESS-30AM 6063.  A rare French original of a cult album.  Right Now: Live at the Jazz Workshop is a live album by jazz bassist and composer Charles Mingus, recorded in San Francisco in 1964 and released on the Fantasy label in 1966. The AllMusic review by Scott Yanow says: "Although this underrated band does not reach the passionate level of the Mingus-Dolphy quintet, it is quite independent."
