JOHN, ELTON-CARIBOU-1974-FIRST PRESS UK-DJM-DJLPH439. A rare British original of the master of the British stage. Caribou is the eighth studio album by Elton John, released in 1974. The album peaked at number four in the US and number three in the UK. The album contains the singles "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", which peaked at number 16 on the UK Singles chart and number two in the US, and "The Bitch Is Back", which peaked at number 15 in the UK and number four in the US. Both singles reached number one in Canada on the national RPM 100 Top Singles Chart, as did the album itself. The album was met with lukewarm reviews on its release, and legacy reviews do not consider this record one of John's best works from his peak period of the early 1970s. However, the album was a commercial success and was certified double platinum in the US, as well as being certified gold in the UK. A rare British original by a cult prog band. Levitation is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Hawkwind, released in 1980. It reached number 21 on the UK Albums Chart. During the album's release, bandleader Dave Brock stated, "With Levitation, we returned to the style of our debut album. And it was a record that fully expressed our ideals and what we fought for."  This is their first studio album since the departure of lead vocalist and lyricist Robert Calvert, and the lyrics here are usually superficial, and the number of instrumental parts is increased. It is also Hawkwind's only studio album to feature former Cream drummer Ginger Baker, and the first for former Gong keyboardist Tim Blake, who later rejoined the band and played on the 2010 album Blood of the Earth. ...more

What Crisis? is the fourth studio album by the prog rock band Supertramp, released in 1975. Crisis? What Crisis? the band's first CD recorded in the USA (Los Angeles). The title of the album is taken from Fred Zinnerman's feature film "The Day of the Jackal", released in 1973. Allmusic fully praised the album in their retrospective review, praising Rick Davis' keyboard work, Roger Hodgson's vocals, and John Helliwell's saxophone.
