"Over the Hudson" is the third studio album by Soviet, American and Russian author-performer Willy Tokarev, released in 1983 on the Sava Recording Corporation label in the USA. The producer is Willy Tokarev. At the age of 40, in 1974, Willy Tokarev emigrated to the United States with $100 in his pocket. He was sheltered for 2-3 weeks by the Tolstoy Foundation, whose head was Alexandra Tolstaya, daughter of Leo Tolstoy. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). He played at Carnegie Hall on a balalaika, which he bought at a souvenir shop on Fifth Avenue for $ 50, then played and sang in restaurants and nightclubs.  In 1979, the first record "And life is always beautiful!" was released, which was not particularly noticed. In 1981, the second album "In a noisy booth" was released, which brought Tokarev fame among Russian-speaking emigrants. In the 1980s, he worked at the Russian restaurant Sadko, and then at the restaurants Primorsky and Odessa, accompanied by Irina Ola. He was called the "honorary Jew of Brighton." ROBERT CALVERT - CAPTAIN LOCKHEED AND THE STARFIGHTERS -1974- FIRST PRESS RELEASE UK-UNITED ARTISTS- UAG29507. A-1U/B-1U matrices. A rare British original of a cult album. The first solo album by Robert Calvert, an eccentric character who was still a full-time Hawkwind poet at that time and had not yet managed to become their full-time frontman. This is a very peculiar story album - the real story of the American Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter, which in the 60s was, it turns out, purchased by the West German Air Force in terrible quantities with such modifications that made the aircraft terribly emergency, as a result of which it earned the nickname "Widowmaker". Calvert is drawn here on two counts at once: firstly, he expresses his love and knowledge of military history; secondly, he demonstrates colorful sarcasm and a sense of humor. His targets, of course, are German generals (banter against Germans, as you know, is a traditional genre of British humor). The album actually resembles a radio play, in which song numbers alternate with comic skits brilliantly played by characters such as Vivian Stanshall from Bonzo Dog Band and, of course, Calvert himself. For music lovers, it is valuable here that Calvert was supported by almost the entire Hawkwind line-up at that time. ...more

The band, originally called Roundabout, was the idea of former Seahawks drummer Chris Curtis, who invited Jon Lord and Richie Blackmore to join the band before leaving the project. In March 1968, the band was joined by vocalist and frontman Rod Evans, as well as bassist Nick Simper and drummer Ian Pace. After two months of rehearsals, Shades of Deep Purple was recorded in just three days in May 1968. It contains four original songs and four cover versions, carefully arranged with classical interludes added to make the sound more psychedelic. At the same time, the matrices and stamps remained the same, as well as the error in the track list on the inside of the cover.   A mega rare British original of a cult album. The album was released in June 1970 by Vertigo Records in the UK. The original vinyl release was a spread-out envelope with frontman David Byron depicted on the front sleeve, almost unrecognizable under the cobwebs. It was released in August 1970 by Mercury Records in the United States under the name just Uriah Heep with a different cover design (a centipede-type monster) and with the track "Bird of Prey" instead of "Lucy Blues". The album was re-released by Bronze Records in 1971 after the band signed a contract with that label. The album shows how the band tries different genres – a mix of heavy metal and progressive rock, rather than hard rock, which they became known for on later albums. Tracks 3 and 8 were recorded as Spice songs before the band's renaming to Uriah Heep, and featured session musician Colin Wood on keyboards. When Ken Hensley joined Spice in early 1970, the tracks were not re-recorded. ...more

A rare British original by a great guitarist. Corridors of Power is the second solo studio album by Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released in October 1982.  The album contains a cover version of the Free song "Wishing Well". In the track "End of the World", Jack Bruce from Cream performs the lead vocals along with Moore. Later, in 1993, Moore joined Bruce again in the Bruce-Baker-Moore project. The album also featured former Deep Purple drummer Ian Pace, former Whitesnake bassist Neil Murray, and former Uriah Heep vocalist John Sloane as backing vocalists, as well as keyboardists Tommy Eyre and Don Airey, drummer Bobby Chouinard, and bassist Mo Foster. In October 1982, "Corridors of Power" hit the UK album charts and stayed there for several weeks. Moore also achieved great success in Japan, and in the United States the album stayed on the charts for a total of thirteen weeks the following year. ...more
