In the Court of the Crimson King is the debut Studio album by the British band King Crimson, released in 1969. The album ranked fifth in the list of Top 25 best albums of progressive rock version Progarchives.com. This drive has had a big and unusually strong influence on the development of psychedelic rock, progressive rock and heavy metal. The album was recorded with exceptional musicality, the poetics of texts. While some rock groups (e.g., Pink Floyd) were prone to writing long songs, while others tried to hold in a rock song freedom jazz forms (Frank Zappa), in the Court of the Crimson King group used a bizarre poetry blakowski nightmares, visions, and premonitions.
