In August 1989 Gorky Park release their debut self-titled album. His support in new York was filmed for the song "My Generation" and "Bang". The single "Bang" hit the "top 15" on American MTV and stayed there for two months, reaching 3 lines. The single "Try to Find Me" made it to position 81 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Gorky Park the first Russian band, caught in the American national chart. The album itself got to 80 on the Billboard 200 for three weeks from the start of sales which has a circulation more than 300 thousand copies.
