Deep Purple (also known as April) is the third Studio album by the British band Deep Purple. The last album created by the original group, known as the "Mark I". Was released in the U.S. in June on the label Tetragrammaton Records, and in the UK in September 1969 at the record label Harvest Records. The most famous track of the album (by the name which is often referred to as the whole album) is the final album of the 12 minute piece "April", recorded with the participation of hired musicians playing wind and string instruments.

Gill and Roelofs 1980 record a new album, preceded by its release of the single We Gotta Get Out Of This Place. The album was called I Like Some Cool Rock'n'roll, and it was produced by himself, Roelofs, and Farian remained in the project as a viewer and a producer, for which, however, had the final word. The album was attended by interesting disco song Go Down Main Street, Tom Cat, as well as a few songs Roelofs, co-written by Fred Jay, including a beautiful lyrical Take Your Time. What prevented this album to be a bestseller, unknown, but, apparently, the role played by the fact that in 1980 disco began to experience hard times.
