The album was preceded by the release of several singles — "Big In Japan" in January, Sounds Like A Melody in may, and Forever Young in September, just before the album's release. The album sold over 2,000,000 copies. The song Forever Young did not initially become a popular hit, but has since been considered a classic of the 1980s. (Code M-0093). It was commissioned by the Vladimir Vysotsky Foundation, but after the release of the first two albums, the Foundation ran out of money and refused to Finance it.
