The album was named after the structure where the band set up their work residence, as well as drummer Doug "Cosmo" Clifford, who first named the structure "Factory". Cosmo's Factory became the most commercially successful album of Creedence Clearwater Revival (topping the charts in the US, UK, and Australia) and marked (according to many rock critics) the peak of the band's creativity[1]. The album was released in August 1982. Rough Diamonds, like its predecessor, Desolation Angels, was recorded at Ridge Farm studios in Surrey, England, in March and April 1982, and engineered by max Norman (known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne). It was the last album by the original Bad Company line-up and the most recent Studio album to feature Paul Rogers. The album's debut track, "Electricland", written by Rogers, became the album's biggest hit. The track "Painted face" Rogers on the air rock stations spun day and night.
