Mega rare British original of the cult band's second album. Salisbury is the second studio album by British rock band Uriah Heep, released in January 1971 by Vertigo Records. It was produced by Jerry Bron.Unlike their first album, the credits for the full half of the album were credited only to Ken Hensley, as opposed to the collaborative partnership of frontman David Byron and guitarist Mick Box. Shortly after the release, drummer Keith Baker left the band, replacing Ian Clark (from another Vertigo band, Cressida). Along with Clark, the band embarked on their first US tour, supporting Three Dog Night and Steppenwolf. A rare early edition of the cult album. Alan Price said that Lindsay Anderson wanted to make a documentary about Price and his band touring England, but the cost of licensing the songs they performed was too high. While Sherwin and McDowell were developing the script, Anderson decided that Price should write the score, and sent him the script, indicating where he would like to see the songs. Price wrote almost all of the songs before filming began. The soundtrack was released as a vinyl album by Warner Bros. Records, in 1973. In the United States, it entered the top LPs and Tape Chart on August 11, 1973, and spent 14 weeks on the chart, peaking at # 117. The score won the 1974 BAFTA Award for Best Film Score.  ...more

Alexander Vitalyevich Sitkovetsky (born April 5, 1955, Moscow) is a Soviet rock musician, guitarist, vocalist, and composer. Founder and leader of the groups "Leap Summer" and "Autograph". Recognized as one of the best Russian guitarists. In 1990, "Autograph" disbanded. Sitkovetsky moves to America. He begins to work on a solo career and releases his first (and first in the USSR) guitar instrumental album Zello, which became the "album of the year" (1992) in Russia, and earlier the video for the play "Camels" from this album, shot by Mikhail Khleborodov with Fyodor Bondarchuk in the title role, won the main prize of the annual video competition in Moscow in April 1991. In January of the same year, Alexander was officially recognized as one of the three best guitarists in the country, he also became the first Russian musician in history to sign a direct publishing contract with the American P.
