The last four songs were recorded using acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few sessions in the Studio (except "You're Crazy", which was included in an alternate version of the album Appetite for Destruction).In later interviews, Axl rose said that he likes how the band sounded on the last four songs, but he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was hoarse and rough due to long touring bands at the time, and if he could, he re-recorded his vocals. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot.  The songs "In life, as in a Dark thicket", "Who's to Blame?" and "I used to wander one" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded.
