It reached number 18 on the record charts in the US, number 50 in the UK and number 7 in Australia. On the back cover there is a statement: "We, the People, have declared war on the People for the right to love each other." A very rare original of one of the best albums in hard glam rock. Sweet Fanny Adams is Sweet's second album, their first of two released in 1974, as well as their first album simply as Sweet. This album was a turning point and a change in the sound of the band. It had more of a hard rock sound than their previous pop albums. Sweet Fanny Adams reached number 27 on the UK Albums chart in the year of its release by RCA Records in 1974 and number 2 on the West German Albums chart. It was not released in the United States, but five of her tracks appeared on the American version of the album Desolation Boulevard, released in July 1975. ...more
