A rare British original in the Gatefold version of the cult album . Still is a compilation album by the British rock band Joy Division, released in 1981. Still was released on two records: the first one contained previously unreleased studio songs from 1978-80, as well as a concert cover version of The Velvet Underground song; the second one contained a recording of the band's last concert. The album was scheduled for release in August 1981, but was released only in October. In the UK hit parade, the album took 5th place. The name of the album is an antonym of the name of the debut album Movement ("Movement") of the New Order group, formed from the members of Joy Division a year earlier, released in the same fall. ...more

King mixed elements of blues and rock music. The result was one of King's most critically acclaimed albums and one of the most highly acclaimed blues crossover albums of all time. The album appeared on several Billboard album charts in 1970, peaking at number 26 on the Pop Albums chart, number seven on the Jazz Albums chart, and number eight on Billboard's "Black Albums" list. The album also spawned several hit singles "Chains and Things", King's own song "Don't Ask Me Questions" and Leon Russell's song "Hummingbird". King himself also considers the album one of his greatest achievements.
