It was originally released by Mercury Records in the United States on November 4, 1970 and in the United Kingdom on April 10, 1971. The album was produced by Tony Visconti and recorded at Trident and Advision Studios in London in April and May 1970. The album was initially a commercial failure. Pegg writes that by the end of June 1971, only 1,395 copies had been sold in the United States.. That same year, Bowie stated, "[he] sold like hot cakes in Beckenham and nowhere else."However, after the 1972 RCA reissue following Ziggy Stardust's commercial breakthrough, the album peaked at No. 24 in the UK, where it remained for 30 weeks, and number 105 on the Best Records charts, for as long as 23 weeks, the 1990 reissue of the album re-entered the UK album charts, peaking at number 66.

A very rare original of the cult album..Tourism: Songs from Studios, Stages, Hotelrooms and Other Strange Places is the fourth studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on August 28, 1992 by EMI. Despite the fact that Roxette was often mistaken for a live album, the album was described in its comments as a "touring album": the band recorded most of their material in numerous recording studios in between concerts of their world-famous band " Join the Joyride! Excursion". The album contains three live concert recordings, while another track was recorded live in an empty nightclub in Sao Paulo. Two more tracks were recorded in Buenos Aires' The Alvear Palace Hotel.The album received mixed reviews from American publications upon its release, with some confusing its concept and incorrectly describing it as containing only five previously unreleased songs. It also underperformed the Billboard 200, peaking at number 117 on the chart and selling about 278,000 copies-far short of the million-dollar joyride. They are best known for their new 1968 hit on the UK singles chart, a high-speed cover version of Aram Khachaturian's classic piece "Dance with a Saber", released on the Parlophone label (R 5744), which reached number 5 on the UK Singles chart in December 1968. The recording was inspired by Keith Emerson's classic permutations. "Sabre Dance" became a hit after the broadcast of British DJ John Peel, who was so impressed that he played it twice in the same program.. In December 1968, the British music magazine NME reported that Love Sculpture had signed a recording contract in the US with London Records guaranteeing 250,000 pounds.
