BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY-CHEAP THRILLS-1968-FIRST PRESS USA-COLUMBIA-KCS9700. A very rare original of the cult album JANIS JOPLIN. Cheap Thrills is the second studio album by Big Brother and the Holding Company, released in August 1968. "Cheap Thrills" achieved great success: by October, it reached number one on the Billboard chart and turned out to be the best-selling album of 1968, with a circulation of just under a million copies. The song Piece of My Heart became a hit, which was subsequently performed by many other musicians, and the performance of Summertime from the opera Porgy and Bess turned into one of the most memorable and frequently used recordings by Janis Joplin. The album cover was created by the famous illustrator Robert Crumb. The name "Cheap Thrills" can be translated into Russian as "cheap passions", "low-grade fun".

Starting work in the studio on April 16, 1969, the musicians recorded 8 songs included in the album of the same name in 2 days. In November of the same year, the band took part in the festival in the Belgian city of Amougies together with "Pink Floyd", "Colosseum", "The Nice", "East Of Eden", Frank Zappa, etc. In 1970, before the release of the second album, Joël Daydé and Pierre Fanen left the band due to musical differences, and Englishman Ian Bellamy took the place of the vocalist.
