Released in October 1990, the album was less positively received than Vol. 1, but still had a fair success. In the United States, "She's My Baby" (with guest guitarist Gary Moore) and "Inside Out" became radio hits, charting 2nd album rock and 16th album rock respectively. The album peaked at number 14 in the UK and number 11 in the US, where it was certified platinum by the RIAA.

The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot. The songs "In life, like in a dark thicket", "Who's to blame?" and "I used to wander alone" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded. The track "Waiting in the Bamboo Grove" would later be released as the B-side of the British Decca single F 13019 (released in May 1970) "A Hard Way To Go" from their album. Raw siena.
