A very rare original of the cult album.  In Search of the Lost Chord is the third studio album by the British band The Moody Blues, released in July 1968 on Deram Records. The Moody Blues' second album, recorded in the classic Hayward—Pinder—Lodge—Thomas Edge line—up, and the band's second work with producer Tony Clark. On this record, the band's signature sound was formed, built around a mellotron. The album was written under the influence of LSD, transcendental meditation and Oriental music, in particular, Hindustani music. The theme of the album's songs touches on such topics as the spiritual development of a person, his desire for search and discovery. Two songs from the record, "Ride My See-Saw" and "Voices in the Sky", were also released as singles. After the release of In Search of the Lost, Chord took quite high positions in the charts. In the UK, he was in the top five albums, and in Germany and the USA in the top thirty. The album reached number 2 in the UK charts. Absolute spawned some of the band's biggest hits, most notably "BaggyPants", which peaked at number 3 in the UK and spent over four months on the singles chart. "Confusion" took 4th place, and the instrumental "The Return of the Los Palmas 7" rose to 7th place. SAVOY BROWN-A STEP FUTHER-1969-THE FIRST PRESS UK-DECCA-SKL5013 Matrix A-1W/B-1W. A rare British original of the cult blues-rock band. A Step Further is the fourth album by Savoy Brown. It was released by Decca in the UK and Parrot in the US in September 1969. This is the last album recorded with longtime pianist Bob Hall. The album track "Made Up My Mind" first appeared as the B-side of an American single on Parrot Records 45-40039 (released in June 1969), accompanied by "Train to Nowhere" from their album Blue Matter. The track "Waiting in the Bamboo Grove" would later be released as the B-side of the British Decca single F 13019 (released in May 1970) "A Hard Way To Go" from their album. Raw siena. Side Two was recorded live at Cooks Ferry Inn, Edmonton, London, on May 12, 1969. It performed significantly better in the United States, where it spent 10 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 71. ...more
