The CD was released after the extraordinary success of Band on the Run and also became very popular. Paul McCartney's first album with Capitol Records. After the release of Band on the Run, Wings also included Jimmy McCulloch (lead guitarist) and Jeff Britton (drummer) in 1974. After McCartney wrote several new songs for the upcoming album, the band flew to New Orleans in January 1975 to record Venus and Mars.Britton, after an argument with McCulloch, left the band, having managed to participate in the recording of only three songs of the album. He was urgently picked up a replacement-American Joe English, with whom the recording was continued. McCartney made the songs in Venus and Mars flow smoothly into each other, and the album in this sense became similar to the Beatles ' Abbey Road album. The album was received very warmly, and in all countries of the continent it reaches the Top 10 of the charts. According to the results, album of the year, places are also high, in the UK 5 place, USA-1 place according to the Billboard 200.

Having signed a contract with BC Records, they recorded their self-titled debut album at Advision Studios in London. However, the album was not released. The band started rehearsals on new material in the premises of the London ambulance. They then made a three-month tour of Europe, starting in Oslo on May 20, 1970. After returning from the tour, the musicians recorded the album "Child Of Light" at Tangerine Studios, located in Dalston (East London). Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple and the first recorded by the reunited "classic line—up" of the band, released in November 1984. At the beginning of October, Perfect Strangers was mixed, and on November 16 it went on sale, rising to 5th place in Britain and 17th in the USA. Blackmore, known for his clumsiness, joked that the album should finally be called the 1974 album, hinting that the last album recorded in this line-up was released back in 1973 (Who Do We Think We Are).
