A very rare original of the cult album.  In Search of the Lost Chord is the third studio album by the British band The Moody Blues, released in July 1968 on Deram Records. The Moody Blues' second album, recorded in the classic Hayward—Pinder—Lodge—Thomas Edge line—up, and the band's second work with producer Tony Clark. On this record, the band's signature sound was formed, built around a mellotron. The album was written under the influence of LSD, transcendental meditation and Oriental music, in particular, Hindustani music. The theme of the album's songs touches on such topics as the spiritual development of a person, his desire for search and discovery. Two songs from the record, "Ride My See-Saw" and "Voices in the Sky", were also released as singles. After the release of In Search of the Lost, Chord took quite high positions in the charts. In the UK, he was in the top five albums, and in Germany and the USA in the top thirty. According to the results of sales, the record received gold status in the USA, and platinum in Canada. In Search of the Lost Chord received positive reviews from critics and was included in various lists of the best progressive rock albums. ...more

Most of the record was recorded during 1976, and the band itself was engaged in producing it together with Ken Kailatt and Richard Deshat. Four singles were released in support of the CD: "Go Your Own Way", "Dreams", "Don't Stop" and "You Make Loving Fun".
