Mademoiselle chante... is an album recorded in 1987 by the French singer Patricia Kaas . It was her debut album, which was preceded by the singles "Mademoiselle chante le blues"and" D Allemagne". Three top 10 singles were certified silver disc for more than 200,000 copies sold for each of them. It was the only album Kaas, published by Polydor (the next albums were published by Sony and Columbia). The album went to #19 4 December 1988, a month later reached the top ten and reached # 2 in the French album charts, remaining there for two consecutive months. It remained in the top ten a total of 64 weeks and 118 weeks in the top 100. The album featured "Lonesome" Dave Peverett on vocals after Chris Yulden left the band last spring. Leader/guitarist Kim Simmonds will be the only band member to continue working with the band after this album, as all the other band members left to form Foghat next year. It was released by Decca in 1970 (SKL 5066). For release in the USA and Canada, the cassettes were leased to Parrot Records (PAS 71042). The album spent a week in the official UK charts and reached number 50. The band's music was known for the socio-political propaganda present in Moran Neumuller's songs.
