Appetite for Destruction is the debut Studio album by American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, Geffen released July 21, 1987. According to some estimates, the total circulation of the plate was 27 million copies, according to the other 32 million. According to Billboard 200, the most successful debut album in the US in the number of copies sold. Originally the album cover was an illustration by Robert Williams depicting a monster with daggers for teeth, attacking the robot, bent over the insensible woman in a torn dress and with pants down. It was released in 1972, after Joplin's death, as a double album. There are no live recordings from her first solo work with the Kozmic Blues band on the album, although the songs produced with this group were performed in Full Tilt Boogie Band recordings.
