The album was recorded at London's Olympic Studios with producer Glyn Jones and released in 1972. The album immediately became a success for the young band, taking 22nd place in the charts and becoming platinum. Three singles were released from the album, each of which hit the Top 40: "Take It Easy" (12th place), "Witchy Woman" (9th place) and "Peaceful Easy Feeling" (22nd place). The band, starting with this album, played an important role in popularizing the sound of country rock. The album was ranked 368th on Rolling Stone Magazine's 2012 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and 207th on the 2020 reboot of the list. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of an unsuccessful attempt to repeat A Night At The Opera. A rare European original of the cult album. A Momentary Lapse of Reason is the thirteenth studio album by the British rock band Pink Floyd, released by EMI Records (September 7, 1987) and Columbia Records (September 8, 1987). This is the first CD recorded by the band after Roger Waters left Pink Floyd. Work on the album A Momentary Lapse of Reason lasted from November 1986 to July 1987 in seven studios in London and Los Angeles. The main part of the material for the new album was written by David Gilmore. In addition, Gilmore took over the duties of producer. Bob Ezrin was invited to record the album as a co-producer. Unlike Pink Floyd's previous works, A Momentary Lapse of Reason is not based on any concept combining the lyrics.A Momentary Lapse of Reason rose to number three in both the US and UK charts.
