Mega rare original of the cult album in top condition. Blind Faith is the only album by the British rock band of the same name, which was released in August 1969 and immediately topped the US and UK charts. Recording took place in London, first at Morgan Studios, and then at Olympic Studios, under the direction of producer Jimmy Miller. All tracks on this album belong to the band members, except for a cover version of "Well All Right" from the Buddy Holly repertoire. The album received positive reviews from critics, was a great commercial success and immediately topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The cover of the album, published in the UK, shows a young topless girl (the younger sister of photographer Bob Seidemann, the creator of the cover) holding a model airplane. In the US, this picture was considered not quite decent, and the album was also released with an alternative cover, which featured a photo of the band members. It was released in 1972, after Joplin's death, as a double album. The first record contains performances with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the second with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, recorded in different locations in 1968 and 1970. There are no live recordings from her first solo work with the Kozmic Blues band on the album, although the songs produced with this group were performed in Full Tilt Boogie Band recordings. The photographs used for the gatefold album were taken by photographer David Gar in New York in 1969 and 1970. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 in the US. ...more
