ATLANTIS-SAME-1972-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-VERTIGO-6360609. A rare original continuation of the cult prog group FRUMPY. Atlantis was formed at the end of the summer of 1972 by Inga Rumpf (vocals), Jean-Jacques Kravets (keyboards) and Karl-Heinz Schott (bass). These musicians previously played in the band Frumpy. The founding members also included guitarist Frank Dees and drummer Kurt Kress (formerly of the band Emergency). After several live performances in Germany, the first LP was released at Island Records Studio in London, which was widely recognized, especially in the United States, where Rumpf's bluesy vocals were appreciated. Diz and Kress left the band after recording. For a four-week tour of England with Procol Harum and Traffic, George Meyer joined Atlantis as guitarist and Udo Lindenberg joined Atlantis as drummer. After the tour, they were replaced by Dieter Bornschlegel (who had previously worked with the band Dreamtorte) and Ringo Funk (who had previously worked with Geronimo), with whom the second album It's Getting Better (1973) was recorded. ...more

The album cover was drawn by Rodney Matthews, a famous English fantasy illustrator who created covers for the works of many other artists (Scorpions, Thin Lizzy and others) The name of the disc is borrowed from the novel "No Mean City" (1935) by Alexander MacArthur and Kingsley Long. With this album, the band's sound has become heavier, given the addition of guitarist Zal Cleminson from Sensational Alex Harvey Band. The popularity of the album allowed the band to perform with several big names, such as Thin Lizzy, on their 1978/79 tour. ...more

A rare original of SANDRA singles including a large poster for 6 spreads. Ten on One (Singles) is the first greatest hits album by German singer Sandra, released on October 15, 1987 on Virgin Records. The album was a commercial success and spawned one of Sandra's most successful singles, a cover version of "Everlasting Love" originally recorded by Robert Knight. "Everlasting Love" was released as the lead single from the album and became one of Sandra's most successful singles, reaching the top five in Germany, Greece and Switzerland. "Stop for a Minute" became the second and last single in early 1988 and reached the top 10 in Germany, as well as the top 20 in Switzerland and Denmark. A rare American original . Close Enough for Rock ’n’ Roll is the seventh studio album by the Scottish rock band Nazareth, released in 1976. The album was released in March 1976. The album was produced, as well as the previous one, by Manny Charlton. The highlight of the album is the composition Telegram, which is a work of four parts describing the difficult touring life of rock musicians.
