On March 7, 1970, the album rose to #8 on the UK Albums Chart and to #23 on the Billboard 200. Recorded in just three days (8 hours of studio work) and costing the band only 1,200 pounds, today Black Sabbath's debut album is considered a heavy metal classic. It was the band's first album featuring guitarist Steve Howe, who replaced Peter Banks in 1970, as well as their last album featuring keyboardist Tony Kaye until the album 90125 in 1983.The album was a critical success and became a major commercial breakthrough for Yes, who risked being dropped by Atlantic due to the commercial failures of their first two albums. LEE, ALVIN AND MYLON LEFEVRE (EX-TEN YEARS AFTER) -ON THE ROAD TO FREEDOM-1973-FIRST PRESS UK-CHRYSALIS-CHR1054.1M/1P Stamper Matrices A-2U/B-2U (A Dream!)  A rare British original guitarist from TEN YEARS AFTER. On the Road to Freedom is an album by English rock musician Alvin Lee and American gospel singer Milon Lefevre. Released in November 1973, it was Lee's first solo project, which achieved international success thanks to his leadership of a blues rock band ten years later. The album was recorded at Lee's home studio in south Oxfordshire, which he and Lefebvre built specifically for the project. Guest musicians on the sessions were George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Ron Wood and Mick Fleetwood. "Fallen Angel" and Harrison's song "So Sad (No Love of His Own)" were released as singles from the album. The album On the Road to Freedom was well received by music critics, although Lee's more subtle guitar playing and new musical direction were not welcomed by fans Ten Years After.  ...more
