A rare original of the cult concert. The Concerts in China is a live album by Jean-Michel Jarre recorded in 1981 and released in 1982 on the label  Dreyfus. The album was recorded during Jarre's tour in China in the fall of 1981, which consisted of five concerts in China in Beijing and Shanghai; it was the first performance by a Western pop artist in China after the Cultural Revolution. One of the original compositions of the album – "Arpégiateur" – was used in the soundtrack to the movie "9½ weeks", as well as in several episodes of the mid-1980s American soap opera "Santa Barbara". The opening track "The Overture" is the first slow-motion part of "Magnetic Fields Part 1". The album reached number 6 in the UK charts, No. 1 in Portugal and No. 76 in Australia.  ...more

This is one of the innovative albums in the style of jazz fusion. The name is a translation of the Latin phrase morituri te salutant, which, according to popular belief (but not academic agreement), gladiators addressed to the emperor before the start of a gladiatorial duel. The original vinyl album had the name "Colosseum" on the record label and on the spine of the cover, but the album is better known as "Those Who are About to Die Greet You". The album reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. ...more

ELOY-PERFORMANCE-1983-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-HARVEST-1C064-46714. A rare German original. The eleventh album of a prog band from Germany. Since the appearance of the album "Performance" on the shelves of stores, a barrage of accusations from critics immediately fell on the heads of the musicians. Eloy was accused of imitating and repeating themselves! According to critics, there was nothing new in this album, but just a repetition of the previous Time To Turn! But, despite the attacks on the band, the audience received the album quite warmly! Perofrmance is a disc very characteristic of Eloy in the first half of the 80s, Bornemann seems to still not be able to decide what to play for them: either metal, or space rock. The melodies, as always, are pleasant, but there are no particularly bright ones, and the performance, again, as always, is excellent. Dominant keyboards with (increasingly rare) guitar solos.
