Tons of Sobs is the debut studio album by the British rock band Free, released by Island Records on March 14, 1969. One of the first albums in the blues-rock style. The album did not chart in the UK, but reached #197 on the Billboard Hot 200 in the US.At the time of recording the album, all the members of the band Free were very young: none of them had turned twenty yet, and bass guitarist Andy Fraser was sixteen years old at all. They achieved some success through constant touring, and their debut album was composed mainly of compositions performed at concerts. The budget allocated for the recording of the album was only 800 pounds[2]. Most of the album was recorded over a few days in October 1968. The album was originally scheduled for release in November 1968, but then postponed to early 1969 due to the late addition of a cover version of the blues composition "The Hunter" by Albert King

QUEEN-A NIGHT AT THE OPERA-1975-THE FIRST UK PRESS-EMI - EMTC103.Matrices A-2/B. (on the second side, the matrix is Scandinavian without a digit.) A rare British original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and it held the top position in the UK charts for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is generally believed that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album, "God Save the Queen", is the British national anthem arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably ended each concert of the band. The album was ranked number 230 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2003, and number 128 on the 2020 list. ...more
