After a massive seller hit, X scored hits with "Suicide Blonde" and "Disappear" (both Top 10 in the US). Both singles were later used on the soundtrack to the 1991 American teen comedy Mystery Date. X was the third consecutive INXS album produced by Chris Thomas. The name, Roman numeral "10", represents the band's tenth year of existence since the release of their debut album in 1980.
