On March 7, 1970, the album rose to #8 on the UK Albums Chart and to #23 on the Billboard 200. Recorded in just three days (8 hours of studio work) and costing the band only 1,200 pounds, Black Sabbath's debut album is now considered a heavy metal classic. Daughter of Time is the fourth album by the English jazz-rock band Colosseum, released in 1970. The album remained on the UK Albums Chart for five weeks, peaking at number 23. DOORS-SOFT PARADE-1969-ORIGINAL PRESS 1970 USA-ELEKTRA-EKS75005. Matrices A-2 CP- CTH/B-1 CTH.  A rare American early edition with the first matrices . The Soft Parade is the fourth studio album by the American rock band The Doors, released on July 18, 1969 on the Elektra label. The Soft Parade has not received approval from either critics or listeners. So, in the Billboard 200, the record reached only the sixth position, and in the charts of the UK and other European countries, the disc did not debut at all, unlike its predecessor Waiting for the Sun (1968). Of all the singles released in support of the album — "Touch Me", "Wishful Sinful", "Tell All the People"ruen and "Runnin' Blue" — only the first achieved sales success: it reached the third line in the Billboard Hot 100 and then received gold certification by the RIAA. Many music publications, for example, Rolling Stone, were dissatisfied with the record, mainly due to The Doors' attempt to move away from their style to the use of orchestral arrangements. Over time, music historians have changed their opinion about The Soft Parade for the better, but the CD is still recognized as one of the weakest works of the band during Morrison's lifetime. ...more

PINK FAIRIES-WHAT A BUNCH OF SWEETS-1972- FIRST PRESS UK-POLYDOR-2383132. A very rare original of the English prog-psycho band. Pink Fairies — What a Bunch of Sweeties (1972) This release is by many the most beloved of the three Pink Fairies albums recorded on the Polydor label. The record was recorded in 1972, at a time when the band's own reputation as hippie hooligans was already overshadowed by the soaring Hawkwind, "What a Bunch of Sweets" found that the band was rebuilding under the perverted American-rock style of modern MC5, with a high level of noise, but, unfortunately, with a low level of explosive determination, which was the hallmark of their debut album.The loss of the band's founder (Twink) may or may not have contributed to the further breakup, although it cannot be denied that in full instrumental overdrive, the incarnation of the three-person band (plus invited guests) was at least as dramatic as that of its predecessor. Indeed, the nine-minute attack on The Ventures' song "Walk Don't Run" ranks among the best Pink Fairies recordings of all time, while the bonus inclusion of an even longer version gives this record even more significance. There is also a hot version of The Beatles song "I Saw Her Standing There", a perverted country opus "Pigs of Uranus" and, concluding about the bonus tracks, a gloomy reinterpretation of the Don Nicks song "Goin' Down". ...more

DAVE BRUBECK-WE'RE ALL TOGETHER AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME-1973-FIRST PRESS USA-ATLANTIC-SD1641. A rare American original of the iconic album.  A 1973 live album by Dave Brubeck and his quintet, recorded in various places in Europe. The album reached number 20 on the Billboard Top Jazz Charts. "Truth", "Unfinished Woman" and "Take Five" were recorded at the Berlin Philharmonic, "Koto Song" was recorded at the Olympia in Paris, and "Rotterdam Blues" and "Sweet Georgia Brown" were recorded at the De Doelen Concert Hall in Rotterdam. The album was reviewed by Scott Yanow of Allmusic, who wrote that "For this very logical record, the altruist Paul Desmond . . .. turns the band into a quintet, and his interaction with Mulligan is consistently delightful. ...In addition, Desmond is featured in the "Koto Song", and for an encore Brubeck performs the lighthearted, albeit brief "Sweet Georgia Brown".". ...more
