Hendrix performed in Berkeley about a month after his The Cry of Love tour with bassist Billy Cox and drummer Mitch Mitchell. The setlist was pretty typical for the tour - a mix of popular tunes and some new material. "Hey Joe", "Foxey Lady", "Purple Haze" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" have been in Hendrix's concert repertoire since he first recorded them."Machine Gun" was released two months earlier on the live Band of Gypsys album, and "Hey Baby (New Rising Sun)" was in development for his planned fourth studio album. Excerpts of some of these songs were included in the 1971 concert film Jimi Plays Berkeley.

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL-PENDULUM-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-LIBERTY-LBG83400. Matrices A-1/B-1. A very rare British original of the cult album. Pendulum is the sixth studio album by American band Creedence Clearwater Revival, recorded at Wally Hyder's studio in San Francisco and released on the Fantasy label in December 1970. Pendulum is the last CCR album to feature rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, who left the band shortly after the album's release. The record demonstrates the group's desire to expand its own stylistic framework, a number of his compositions are musically noticeably more complex than the CCR recordings of the 1968-1969 sample. The most ambitious of the band's seven albums, Pendulum was recorded for about a month — twice as long as the rest of the records. ...more

Six-year-old Samantha Gates and her four-year-old brother Stefan posed. The cover photo is a collage of more than thirty pictures. The album cover did not contain any information about the artists or the title. In the USA, the headline was written on ribbons that were taped over children's buttocks.
