A rare British original album by the iconic beat group. It's the Searchers is the fifth studio album by the English rock band The Searchers and the first album by the band that did not enter the official Top 20 albums chart in the United Kingdom. Released in late 1965, it was the last album by the Searchers before the departure of band leader Chris Curtis. The album includes several songs written by the band members, as well as cover versions of some famous tracks originally recorded by The Ronettes ("Be My Baby"), Fats Domino ("I'm Ready"), Marvin Gaye ("I'll Be Doggone") or Ian and Sylvia ("Four Strong Winds"). The album recorded by jazz pianist Keith Jarrett in November 1977 and released on ECM in June of the following year is the second release by his "European Quartet" featuring saxophonist Jan Garbarek and rhythm section, Palle Danielsson and John Christensen, after 1974, The AllMusic review by Scott Yanow states: "Due to the popularity of obsessive"My Song" this album is the most famous of Jarrett and Garbarek's collaborations, and in fact it is their most rewarding meeting ever. NUTZ-SAME -1974-THE FIRST USA-AM-SP3648 PRESS. The real American original of the first album.Hard rockers Nutz, formed in Liverpool, England, in 1973 by singer Dave Lloyd, guitarist Mick Devonport, bassist Keith Mulholland and drummer John Mylett, recorded four albums for A M - 1974 Nutz, 1975 Nutz Too, 1976 Hard Nutz (introducing keyboardist Kenny Newton) and 1977 Nutz Live Cutz. But neither all this, nor the periodic tours in support of Black Sabbath and Budgie (not to mention the Friday concert at the Reading Festival in 1976) allowed them to become headliners.By 1979, the band began to break up, but when their song "Bootliggers" was selected for inclusion on the 1980s album Metal for Muthas (a compilation of emerging New Wave talents of British heavy metal such as Iron Maiden, Praying Mantis and Samson), Nutz reinvented themselves as Rage. This barely disguised new version of Nutz (not to be confused with the German power metal trio that appeared a few years later) replaced Newton with additional guitarist Terry Steers and recorded three more albums before finally disbanding in 1984. ...more

BENNY GOODMAN QUARTET MADE IN JAPAN -1965-THE FIRST UK-CAPITOL-T2282 PRESS. A rare British original of the iconic album.  In 1962, he toured widely in the USSR, gave concerts with his jazz band in Moscow (twice), Leningrad, Kiev, Tbilisi, Tashkent. In an interview, he told reporters that he was glad that the ban on jazz in the USSR had been lifted. The first performance took place on May 30 and, as a result of this trip, the Benny Goodman concert album was released in Moscow. In 1963, the RCA Victor studio hosted a reunion of the legendary Benny Goodman quartet of the 1930s (Goodman himself, Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson and Lionel Hampton), and a year later the album recorded by them (called "Together Again!") again became one of the most popular albums and gave impetus to new ones on tour to Asia.  The album Made in japan was the result of these tours.  Recordings of some works of academic music (in particular, sonatas for clarinet and piano by Francis Poulenc together with Leonard Bernstein, as well as music by Bernstein himself, Johannes Brahms, Aaron Copland and Claude Debussy) belong to the same period of creativity. ...more
