A rare original of the iconic jazzman. City of Eyes is an album by American jazz guitarist Ralph Towner recorded in 1988 and released on ECM the following April. The quintet consists of trumpeter Marcus Stockhausen, oboist Paul McCandless and rhythm section Gary Peacock and Jerry Granelli. Tom Jurek's review on AllMusic awarded the album 4 stars, stating: "City of Eyes once again shows Ralph Towner as a musical researcher, composer and instrumentalist who can convincingly create sonic journeys through time, space and terrain." ...more

A rare British original pop diva of the 60s.  This is the first of two studio albums related to Barbra Streisand's Emmy Award-winning debut on CBS-TV. A special edition of "My Name is Barbra", which aired on April 28, 1965 and was choreographed by Joe Layton. The album was certified gold and reached number 2 on the US charts. Streisand's brother Sheldon took the cover photo when she was five years old. PXR5 is the seventh studio album by the English space rock band Hawkwind, released in 1977. The album spent six weeks on the UK Albums Chart, peaking at number 30. This is the band's first album without co-founder Nick Turner, and drummer Alan Powell has also left. Additionally, Adrian "Ade" Shaw of Magic Muscle replaced Paul Rudolph during the recording session. The music on this album is more pop-oriented than their previous offerings. The cover is the only Hawkwind design by Hipgnosis, featuring interior photographs of Battersea Power Station, edited by Richard Manning, and graphics by Jeff Halpin. ...more

A rare British original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and it held the top position in the UK charts for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is generally believed that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album, "God Save the Queen", is the British national anthem arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band. The album was ranked number 230 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2003, and number 128 on the 2020 list. ...more
