The third studio album by the German electronic band Kraftwerk. It was released in October 1973 on Philips. In it, the band moved towards their signature electronic sound.. In 1975, it reached number 160 on the US Top 200 Albums chart. Along with Kraftwerk's first two albums, Ralf und Florian has not been officially reissued anywhere to date, and the band has not performed any of their material live since the late 70s. Nevertheless, the album remains an influential and sought-after work. In 2008, Fact named it one of the 20 greatest ambient albums ever made. The record included a "musical" poster with caricatures of Emil Schult, who played the electric violin live with the band (although he does not appear on the album recordings). Schult remained an employee of Kraftwerk. CHARLES LLOYD-SOUNDTRACK- 1969-FIRST PRESS USA-ATLANTIC-SD1519. A rare original by one of the iconic saxophonists of the second wave of the 60s. The Soundtrack is a live album by jazz saxophonist Charles Lloyd, recorded at New York City Hall in 1968 by the Charles Lloyd Quartet featuring Keith Jarrett, Ron McClure and Jack DeJohnette.Tom Jurek's review on Allmusic awarded the album 4 stars and reads: "The soundtrack stomps with all the fury of a live gospel choir trying to assign Saturday night to God and not another guy... The band is in a heavy Latin American mood, where blues, samba, bossa, hard bop, modal and even soul are saturated with blues. With only four tunes presented, the Charles Lloyd Quartet, although slightly more dissonant than in 1966 and 1967, plays much harder, rougher and gets into rhythm faster than any group that Lloyd led previously... The band broke up shortly after when Jarrett left to play with Miles Davis, but if it had been a swan song live, they couldn't have picked a better gig. ...more

NUTZ-SAME -1974-THE FIRST USA-AM-SP3648 PRESS. The real American original of the first album.Hard rockers Nutz, formed in Liverpool, England, in 1973 by singer Dave Lloyd, guitarist Mick Devonport, bassist Keith Mulholland and drummer John Mylett, recorded four albums for A M - 1974 Nutz, 1975 Nutz Too, 1976 Hard Nutz (introducing keyboardist Kenny Newton) and 1977 Nutz Live Cutz. But neither all this, nor the periodic tours in support of Black Sabbath and Budgie (not to mention the Friday concert at the Reading Festival in 1976) allowed them to become headliners.By 1979, the band began to break up, but when their song "Bootliggers" was selected for inclusion on the 1980s album Metal for Muthas (a compilation of emerging New Wave talents of British heavy metal such as Iron Maiden, Praying Mantis and Samson), Nutz reinvented themselves as Rage. This barely disguised new version of Nutz (not to be confused with the German power metal trio that appeared a few years later) replaced Newton with additional guitarist Terry Steers and recorded three more albums before finally disbanding in 1984. ...more

WARHORSE-WARHORSE-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO SWIRL-6360015. A mega rare original of the first album by the iconic British prog band. Warhorse is a band formed by ex-Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. The band existed from 1970 to 1974 (partial reunions in 1985, 2005). The band's sound was close to the style of the early Deep Purple. After his forced departure from Deep Purple, Nick Simper started organizing a new band. Initially, he planned to involve well-known musicians Albert Lee and Mick Underwood in the collaboration, but this alliance did not take place. The new band was based on guitarist Jed Pack and drummer Mac Poole, musicians who played with Simper in the accompanying Marsha Hunt line—up. The new band also includes vocalist Ashley Holt and keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The band received the name "Iron Horse", which was soon changed to "Warhorse". Wakeman proved to be an unreliable partner and left the band in April, before the band had even made any recordings. Instead, keyboardist Frank Wilson was recruited into the band, with whom the debut demo "Miss Jane" was made. In 1970, the band signed a contract with Phonograms, a division of Vertigo Records, and began recording their debut album. The Warhorse album was released in November 1970. The song "St. Louis" (a cover of "Easybeats") was released as a single and was most popular with the public. The album itself was also a success, but mostly in continental Europe, in particular in Germany. The band toured extensively for the next year and a half. ...more
