PAT METHENY -NEW CHAUTAUQUA-1979-GERMANY'S FIRST PRESS-ECM-ECM1131.  A rare original of the cult jazzman of the third wave (the beginning of the 70s) New Chautauqua is a solo album by jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, recorded in August 1978 and released on ECM in April 1979. The Richmond Times-Dispatch wrote: "For all its charms, and they are significant, Metheny's first solo album is an exercise in arrangement and effect, how music can drift and the listener's attention does the same. " The album reached #3 on the Jazz Billboard, and #44 on the Pop/rock Billboard in 1979.
