(1969). Three tracks released as singles in 1969 first appear on the album here: "Hot Fun in the Summertime", "Everybody Is a Star" and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)". The recordings in this compilation do not always match the versions of the singles; some songs are presented here in their album version and mixes. Mixes sometimes have different editing and vocal and/or instrumentation changes. Greatest Hits was certified five times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling five million copies in the United States.
